Planning our honeymoon took more time than we expected. We spent weeks comparing resorts, searching for a stay that felt intimate, scenic, and truly special. After a lot of back-and-forth, we finally chose Monticle Glamps – the best couple-friendly resort in Vagamon, hoping it would match the dreamy atmosphere we had imagined.
We started early morning from Bangalore, a little excited and a little nervous. The drive was long—almost 11 hours—with a few stops for breakfast and lunch. But once we entered Kerala - Thodupuzha, the journey turned magical. Rolling hills, fresh mountain air, and stunning photo points along the way made us forget the tiredness. We kept stopping because every curve of the road had a view we didn’t want to miss.

Monticle Glamps sits quietly in the middle of endless tea plantations, offering complete privacy and breathtaking views. For our first night, we stayed in the Luxury Jacuzzi Glamp. It was warm, cozy, aesthetic, and perfect for couples who want both comfort and nature. The next night, we upgraded to the Eagle Eye Private Pool Villa, and it became the highlight of our trip. It felt like one of the most luxurious private pool villas in Vagamon—spacious, elegant, and extremely private.
Our routine was simple, peaceful, and so romantic.
On the first day, we relaxed in the resort, enjoyed the views, explored the tea gardens, and soaked in the calm vibe.
On the second day, we set out for sightseeing and an off-road jeep safari—an adventure we will always remember. The final day was the best. We joined the nature walk with other guests, hiking across the tea estates to a mountaintop where we had hot tea. That moment—on the hilltop with mist rolling around—felt unforgettable.
At night, the resort arranged a candlelight dinner and a campfire, giving us the perfect romantic ending.
The food throughout our stay was delicious, and the staff was extremely warm and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable. Their hospitality made the experience feel even more special.
Our last night in the Eagle Eye Private Pool Villa was unforgettable. It had the perfect blend of luxury, privacy, and natural beauty—so much so that we already decided to return next year and stay in the same villa again.
Leaving was the hardest part.
Two days felt far too short for a place that gave us such beautiful memories. As we drove back to Bangalore, we were already planning our next visit—a testament to how magical Monticle Glamps truly is for honeymooners and couples.
